ANYBODY'S BARN
Going on retreat constitutes a fundamental aspect of the Triratna system of practice, and provides an invaluable opportunity to deepen one's understanding of the Buddha's teachings, give extra time and attention to meditation, and build friendships with others in the sangha - local, national and worldwide.
Every year we partake in sangha retreats at nearby retreat centres (usually Adhisthana), as well as hosting yearly Rains Retreats at the Bristol Buddhist Centre. Both offer members of our Bristol sangha the chance to practice together and get to know each other more deeply.
See below for our full retreat programme for the year.
27 NOV - 3 DEC | BRISTOL BUDDHIST CENTRE |

This retreat offers a range of ways into samadhi, with an emphasis on enjoyment and openness of being. If you think dhyana is out of your reach, please think again and join us on this rains retreat.
More information to follow.
11 - 13 DEC | ADHISTHANA | BODHIPUSHPA & SAMASURI
A weekend for Bristol women and non-binary Mitras to take space at the end of the year and practice together, exploring the paramitas of patience (kshanti) and energy in pursuit of the good (virya).
