In Buddhist practice, we often turn towards the mind in search of clarity and understanding. Yet the Buddha repeatedly invited us to begin somewhere much closer: with the living experience of the body itself.
Join us for the first evening in a three-part series exploring the Buddhist path through Body, Speech, and Mind. In this opening session we will explore how the body can become a gateway to presence, awareness, and deeper connection with our experience.
Curious about Buddhism?
Keen to socialise with other like-minded young people and share meaningful discussion about life and the world?
At Bristol Young Buddhists we aim to provide a space where you can explore the Dharma and connect with others in a richer, deeper way. A good alternative to the pub on a Friday night!
FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH
7.30 - 9.30PM
Our core monthly event usually involves a talk from an experienced Buddhist practitioner. Usually a local Order Member, with the occasional special guest from outside Bristol. As well as talks, sometimes our guests will lead a workshop or ritual.
No experience required and no need to book, just turn up and say hello.
AD-HOC BASIS
We also organise the odd social gathering where we can have more of a chance to get to know each other on an informal basis. These can include board games at the Buddhist Centre, walks, gallery visits, or anything you might like to suggest!

There is no set charge for our BYB events - we invite you to make a donation when you come, by card or cash.
The Bristol Buddhist Centre runs most of its events on a donation basis. This helps maintain a spirit of generosity and gratitude, and ensure the Dharma remains accessible to all.
