Ever wondered how the Buddhist Centre remains a clean and presentable space, suitable for practice and ritual? Probably not!
Every Wednesday morning the centre receives invaluable care and attention from volunteers in the Sangha Works team.
Without our realising, our Dharma practice can easily become compartmentalised into the time we spend 'on the cushion' or at the Buddhist Centre. There's a lot we can learn about ourselves when we bring our practice into shared tasks and activities.
Sangha Works provides a meaningful opportunity to engage our Dharma practice in something tangible, and make a vaulable contribution to our Centre at the same time.
Connect with others, give back to your local Buddhist Centre and engage in meaningful, off-the-cushion practice.
EVERY WEDNESDAY 10AM-MIDDAY
No need to book - just turn up
We start with a check-in, then choose tasks to work with as practice. These often include:
Cleaning & tidying
Gardening
Tending the shrine
...but can include more! We can also provide sit-down jobs for those with differing levels of ability.
Please note: Sangha Works is open to those who have completed an Intro Course, either here or at another Triratna centre.
