Mondays 5.45 - 7.15pm with Lizzie Biggin Improvers: Lizzie is an experienced Iyengar yoga teacher (she holds the intermediate level certificate). This class is suitable for those with at least one year's experience of yoga and who are able to do Sarvangasana (shoulderstand).
Tuesdays 10.30am - 12.00pm with Cathi Wilson All levels: Cathi has been teaching Iyengar Yoga since 1998 and practising for many years. Iyengar yoga focuses particularly on correct body alignment and uses blocks, belts and other props to help the student into the postures. Students should be physically fit and if in any doubt about their suitability, seek advice before the class.
Tuesdays 6.00 - 7.30pm with Sue Peggs All levels: Sue has been practising yoga since 1993 and teaching since 1999. Her teachers are Jenny Beeken and Pauline Sawyer, co-founders of the Inner Yoga Trust, and all the students who come to her. Yoga is Union. It is yours to experience. Asana (postures) are part of Yoga. In her asana classes Sue gives guidance to the body and mind so that students can explore and experience the effects of practising the asanas. For your safety, when booking into the class please let Sue know if you have any physical difficulties, recent operations or are likely to be pregnant.
Wednesday 6.00 - 7.30pm with Lizzie Biggin Lizzie is an experienced Iyengar yoga teacher (she holds the intermediate level certificate). This class is suitable both for complete beginners and for those with some experience of yoga.
Thursdays 10.30am - 12.00pm with Mary Todd All levels: Mary has practised yoga for over 20 years and her approach reflects her Inner Yoga training and the style of Vanda Scaravelli. Through enjoying greater flexibility and relaxation we allow our mind, body and spirit some focused time. This provides a deep but gentle yoga which works a lot around increasing the flexibility of the spine. We also learn to understand the way we breathe and how that can benefit our practice.
Thursdays 6.00 - 7.30pm with Luke Hutchison All levels: Luke is a qualified Iyengar yoga teacher with over 10 years experience. His class is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. It will combine strong, deep extension and alignment of the body with resting, recuperative postures. These postures allow us to go beyond our usual limitations and help bring about freedom on both a physical and mental level.
